The Transportation Security Administration has certified the HRX series equipment from Morpho Detection for use in cargo screening for US air freight
X-Ray Screening Systems Approved By TSA
Morpho Detection has announced the addition of six models of its HRX Series X-ray screening system product line to the Transportation Security Administration Air Cargo Screening Qualified Technology List.

The Morpho Detection HRX Series offers aviation customers an array of cost-effective options to meet new federal screening requirements for air cargo, including the August 2010 mandate that 100 percent of cargo transported on passenger aircraft be screened to a degree consistent with security requirements for passengers' checked bags.

"Air cargo businesses now have a new range of quality, TSA-compliant screening options for custom solutions to their specific X-ray system needs," said Dennis Cooke, president and CEO, Morpho Detection, Inc. "Morpho Detection's qualified technology-listed HRX X-ray systems are specifically designed to meet the demanding air cargo industry requirements."

The models added to the Qualified Technology List are the HRX 650, HRX 750, HRX 1000, HRX 1000 DV, HRX 1500 and HRX 1800. Morpho Detection also offers the smaller HRX 500 and HRX 550 to provide X-ray screening solutions for customers whose inspection needs are limited to small parcels, though these models do not meet minimum size specifications for TSA qualification.

The HRX models' qualifications are part of TSA's Certified Cargo Screening Program, an initiative to employ supply chain solutions to enable air cargo industry compliance with screening regulations.

Morpho Detection's HRX Series utilizes industry-leading X-ray screening technology to meet the inspection needs of virtually any air cargo business. The product line includes systems for facilities that inspect small articles as well as those that handle larger cargo. All HRX Series models can be fully integrated with other Morpho Detection explosives and narcotics detection systems to provide a layered response to security challenges.
