Wireless Excellence, manufacturer of the CableFree range of wireless solutions, is to reveal a new range of high performance microwave Topaz radios for government and police security networks at IFSEC this year. These new radios utilise the latest MIMO radio technology to deliver high performance combined with clarity and resilience for modern outdoor CCTV networks.
The new Topaz radios use MIMO OFDM technology, which typically provide high bandwidth connections – up to 250Mbps - for video data or networks of CCTV cameras, offer near/non-line-of-sight capability and offer a very appealing alternative to fibre for sites where it is not practical or desirable to lay cable.
Adding to the existing range of CableFree unlicenced radios, the new products operate within the 3.5 GHz licenced frequency band which ensures dedicated, interference-free operation.
As well as latest wireless technology, the Topaz radios employ carrier class operating software which includes advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features for more powerful IP networks.
Designed for operation in all outdoor environments, the hardware is rugged, waterproof and weather resistant to withstand exposure to extremes of temperature, rain, snow, wind and sand. The radios can be installed quickly and easily re-deployed, making them a practical choice for security at public events.
Wireless Excellence will also be exhibiting other CCTV and security products for speeds up to 1.5 Gbps. These include MIMO Radio, Milimeter Wave (MMW) FSO and microwave links which are suitable for modern high definition digital as well as older analogue CCTV networks.
All of the Wireless Excellence radios are delivered as a complete solution, with full support including pre-installation survey service, full or assisted installation and comprehensive training.
Wireless Excellence has an excellent track record of supplying high performance radios for police, local and national government CCTV networks, including major customer references in UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, all of whom use CableFree radios to deliver high definition CCTV coverage of critical sites.
