The Bitdefender 2013 range of internet security products has passed Microsoft’s Windows 8 certification tests and is now available in Windows Store. The software pack brings an independent e-banking and e-shopping browser - Bitdefender Safepay - which fully secures any online transaction, and an Autopilot Mode, that runs security for Windows 8 at maximum effectiveness and without interruptions.
Bitdefender chose to develop Safepay because it is a very useful tool to anyone who frequently shops or uses e-banking on the run. It activates a secured browser whenever bank accounts are accessed online, uses hotspot protection to create an unbreachable connection on public wireless connections and includes a virtual keyboard so hackers cannot read keystrokes. In the same time, Bitdefender Autopilot runs any Bitdefeder 2013 product without requiring any input from the user, while efficiently protecting Windows 8 users from all around threats.
“It’s exciting to bring the latest generation of antivirus software to the latest generation of Windows,” said Catalin Cosoi, Chief Security Strategist at Bitdefender. “Windows 8 comes with a series of real enhancements that, together with Bitdefender security products, can bring the user greater security than ever. In this era of increasing data theft, phishing, and online fraud, Bitdefender and Windows 8 can make for a priceless combination.”
“Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013 is a great piece of software to use and one which should work well for protection, repair and system impact,” wrote reviewer Simon Williams in a July review by prestigious computer publication PC Advisors. Meanwhile, Internet Security 2013 “includes capable antivirus protection; a smart firewall, configurable spam filter, plenty of browsing and anti-phishing protection, and some useful parental controls”.
