Wide Alignment Capability Feature On New Automatic Gate Locking System

Magnet Schultz : 28 March, 2011  (New Product)
Magnet Schultz has launched a new gate lock assembly designed for automatic gate systems which features wide alignment operation to cope with gate misalignment problems
Wide Alignment Capability Feature On New Automatic Gate Locking System

Electromagnet assembly development specialist, Magnet Schultz, is showing its highly flexible Gate Lock mechanism designed for automated gate systems at IFSEC 2011. This is the first public appearance of the production unit since the concept was previewed at last year’s event.

The primary feature of the new Gate Lock mechanism is a very wide alignment capability that’s specifically designed to accommodate gate misalignment. The solenoid-driven locking element operates within a 30mm ‘wide mouth’, meaning that the gate-mounted locked element can enter the channel anywhere within that 30mm window and still be securely locked. This arrangement successfully handles misalignment of the locked element up to 15mm either side of the centre-line.

Security applications for the new electric Gate Lock include typical commercial and domestic installations whether operated manually or automatically. The new unit has been expressly designed to reduce the need for service visits and reduce overheads for gate suppliers and installers.

The Electric Gate Lock will be on display at Magnet Schultz’s IFSEC Stand 3/D5 in Hall 3A.
