Portman Security Systems has designed the Weapons Intelligent Tracking System (WITS) specifically for security, SWAT and law enforcement. These products work as standalone pieces, or together as part of a network, providing real-time security for your officers as they put themselves on the line for the public. Small, lightweight personal trackers automatically trigger a time-stamped report if an officer is forced to leave their vehicle behind. K-9 officers can pinpoint the exact location of their dogs via smartphone if separated. Weapon tracking units send alerts back to dispatch the moment a gun clears its holster, eliminating the need to radio for backup. Smart body armour not only timestamps incoming and outgoing fire, but special ballistic sensors send instantaneous alerts if an officer is struck, providing crucial information on where the injury is on the body and the officer's exact location for rescue services. And all of Portman's units store event reports in memory, compiling an accurate forensic reconstruction of events to aid in review and analysis.
