Washington Summit on Cyber Security for National Defence

IDGA is holding a National Defence cyber security summit in Washington during November to cover the latest developments for the protection of federal networks and IT systems
IDGA's Cyber Security for National Defence Summit November 16 - 18 in Washington, DC will address the administration's cyber security review and present a roadmap for future cyberspace operations. Subject matter experts and policy makers will discuss current security challenges and solutions as well as policy, funding structures, and organizational responsibilities that will dictate future capabilities development. "This event brings together leaders in the field of cyber security to generate strategies that will improve the defense of critical information systems." says Tom Engelman, Program Director at IDGA. "This year's conference will also provide access to the most up to date information on standards and metrics development for network security including the groundbreaking SCAP."

Topics covered at IDGA's Cyber Security for National Defence Summit include initial goals and development for the creation of the sub unified Cyber Command, measuring organizational network security risk, and the four most promising initiatives for improving federal information security.

IDGA's Cyber Security for National Defence will be held November 16 - 18, 2009 at the Marriot Hotel in Washington, DC.
