Vista enabled e-mail encryption.

Secude International : 22 October, 2007  (New Product)
Latest release of Secude secure mail encrypts e-mails in MS Outlook on Vista providing enhanced security and compliance.
Secude International has released a new version of its encryption solution Secude secure mail. The MS Outlook plug-in supports companies trusting in Microsoft technologies for encryption. In addition, the new version runs on MS Windows Vista.

Secude secure mail expands Microsoft Outlook with security functions for encryption, decryption and digital signing of e-mails. The plug-in protects confidential business communication against industrial espionage, enables legally binding electronic communication with business partners and assists companies in fulfilling legal demands (compliance).

With the new version of Secude secure mail companies can choose to either use the S/MIME standard that comes with Microsoft Outlook or to benefit from the S/MIME functionality for encryption and decryption that is built into Secude secure mail. Microsoft Outlook is the most commonly used e-mail client software worldwide on business PCs and comes with S/MIME standard functionality. To an increasing degree, companies employ the free Microsoft CA (Certificate Authority) to issue certificates for the protection of their internal communication. Many CIO's opt for this model within their security strategy due to the low entry costs. However, with the increasing global collaboration, the need to support further e-mail security standards such as OpenPGP is growing. MS Outlook mail clients, though, are not compatible to the OpenPGP standard without additional software. Secude secure mail supports S/MIME, OpenPGP, GnuPG, PGP Desktop and CryptoEx.

The new version of Secude secure mail enables the use of OpenPGP simultaneously to the MS Outlook S/MIME native standard. For companies this offers two main advantages: first of all they are able to stay compliant with their IT strategy. Secondly they are able to cover the most commonly used encryption standards with one software solution namely Secude secure mail.

In addition, the new version is suited for use with the operating system Microsoft Windows Vista (Ultimate, Enterprise, and Business). On server side the encryption solution runs on systems with Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, 2003, and 2007. On client side Microsoft Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007 are supported.

Secude secure mail is perfectly supplemented by Secude secure file. This security software is able to compress, encrypt and digitally sign single files as well as complete folders. Data is protected against unrecognized manipulation and the content is only accessible for authorized individuals. Therewith confidential content can be stored on open directories or mobile data storage media without hesitation.
