Vipre Enterprise to Provide Malware Protection To BMW Dealership Network

Sunbelt Software : 18 June, 2010  (Application Story)
German car manufacturer chooses anti-malware software with advanced management features for deployment throughout car dealerships in Luxembourg and Belgium
Vipre Enterprise to Provide Malware Protection To BMW Dealership Network
Vipre Enterprise anti-malware product has been selected by BMW Belux to provide endpoint security across its network of car dealerships.

The selection of Vipre Enterprise follows an extensive evaluation of anti-virus and anti-malware solutions by Carya Group, BMW's IT partner in the region. The implementation sees the deployment of Vipre Enterprise on its endpoint PCs and servers located in its BMW dealerships across Belgium and Luxembourg.

Vipre Enterprise was chosen because of its comprehensive security, low use of system resources and advanced management features. Vipre Enterprise's Centralised Management Console provides a simple yet comprehensive platform for managing antimalware agents on all the PCs in the company network. For Carya Group, the ease of using the Centralised Management Console ensures that it can easily and affordably manage security to all BMW dealerships in Belgium and Luxembourg.

"BMW required a security solution that would provide exceptional protection, while for Carya it was essential that any solution that was in place could be simply and effectively supported remotely," explained Benny Callewaert, IT Manager at Carya Group. "Vipre Enterprise meets both of these criteria: its performance at stopping malware has been exemplary, while managing activities across the whole network of endpoints is straightforward. We can quickly and simply create reports to show update status and malware attacks blocked, which helps us to demonstrate the value that the business receives from using Vipre."

"BMW dealerships have a number of PCs in each site, all of which have to be protected and monitored. On Carya Group's recommendation, we have implemented Vipre Enterprise to ensure that these machines are protected. The feedback from our staff is that Vipre is unobtrusive and performs well, letting them concentrate on providing the level of service that our end customers expect," said Didier Passchier, IT & Retail IT Manager at BMW Belgium.

Alex Eckelberry, CEO for Sunbelt Software commented, "This implementation demonstrates how the issues of performance and management are making businesses look again at the value that their security solutions are providing. Customers want their anti-malware solution to be highly effective, invisible to users and be simple to use and manage, however large the implementation. Vipre Enterprise is addressing a very real need in the market and represents a new approach to anti-virus and anti-malware. We greatly value our customers and are delighted that BMW Belgium has selected our solution as their security of choice."
