USS Foundation raises funds for children

The Universal Surveillance Systems Foundation raised over $40,000 for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) through their 5th Annual USS Golf Tournament at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA, held on June 11 in conjunction with the National Retail Federation’s Loss Prevention Conference.

Featuring Olympic decathlon winner, entrepreneur, sportscaster and humanitarian Bruce Jenner, the event was overwhelmingly supported by the loss prevention community through generous sponsorships, prize donations and golf participation, and broke all previous years’ fundraising and golfer participation totals.

“The USS Foundation is proud to support the National Center and the invaluable services they provide to some of the most vulnerable members of our society—our children,” said Adel Sayegh, founder of the USS Foundation. “They have been instrumental in the recovery of over 184,000 lost children since their inception in 1984, and we’re pleased to be able to help them continue their important mission.”

“Supporting vital causes like the National Center is so important and is a major focus of my life,” continued Sayegh. “I consider it an honor to be able to hold events like this that give the loss prevention community a chance to give back as well. My overwhelming gratitude goes out to all who participated in our tournament that raised so much for this very worthy cause.”

The USS Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to helping poor and less fortunate children have the tools, skills and knowledge to build a better life with a hope for a brighter tomorrow. Founded by USS President and CEO Adel Sayegh, the USS Foundation works both locally and nationally through their support programs that help community food banks, hospitals and homeless shelters and through their Adopt-A-Bike program that has donated over 1,000 bicycles to needy childrenacross the country.

Since its inception in 1984, NCMEC has been at the forefront of the fight to keepchildren safer from abduction and sexual exploitation through resource assistance to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation, bring perpetrators to justice and prevent devastating crimes against children.
