US Government departments continue to choose High security USB drives

MXI Security : 30 October, 2009  (Application Story)
The department of Homeland Security and other US government bodies have taken encrypted USB drives from MXI Security for safeguarding sensitive information
MXI Security, a US manufacturer of managed portable security solutions, has announced that with US Government fiscal year end now over it has upheld its superior position within many key departments and agencies such as Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), Veterans Affairs (VA), US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and US Secret Service (USSS).

Demand for MXI Security's secure portable storage products continues to rise because they offer the highest level of protection available. This includes hardware-based AES 256 bit encryption, the only CAC/PIV authentication solution, the only FIPS validated portable hard drive with up to 500GB of storage, the industry's best biometric authentication, and the most extensive management of secure USB drives.

MXI Security is solidifying its leadership as the most trusted secure USB drive in US government by providing tailored government solutions such as the ability to use the Common Access Card (CAC) or Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card to secure devices managed by McAfee's ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), and offering an on-board virus and malware scanner that employs McAfee's antivirus security protection against viruses, worms, trojans, and other malware threats.

"MXI Security is committed to alleviating the growing pressure the US Government is under to protect sensitive information carried on USB devices, so that departments and agencies can balance the need for information mobility with safe and secure data protection, while upholding public trust and national security," said Lawrence Reusing, CEO of MXI Security.
