US Expansion continues for CNL

CNL : 12 October, 2009  (Company News)
Washington customer support and administrative facility under plan at CNL as the company seeks to reinforce its incorporation in the US and expand further in the territory
CNL is starting a major expansion program in the US following its incorporation. It will build a full-service US technical centre with customer support and administrative offices in Washington DC. Earlier, it announced the recruitment of Darren Chalmers-Stevens, who will help oversee the setting up this facility, which will also include the company's demonstration and client implementation operations.

Darren comments "We have already identified the right location; the next task is to recruit the most talented individuals. In the short term, due to an increasing order book, we will provide experienced UK based resource to support our customers and accelerate the skills transfer process. As all CNL products are developed around IT standards, this process will be straight forward."

These new facilities will serve both CNL channel partners and their customers of its category-leading PSIM security software, IPSecurityCenter.

The last year has seen a significant increase in interest in the PSIM sector, where CNL has a very strong offering, directly leading to this latest move by the company. In the last month CNL won a major US PSIM project which will be one of the most advanced integrated control room installations in the world. The company made record sales in September including another major corporate in India.

Matthew Kushner, President, CNL Americas, adds "This marks a turning point for CNL, as it demonstrates that we see the US as a key growth market for our software. Following ASIS this year in Anaheim, CA, we have experienced huge interest in our software from corporate organisations, government agencies, strategic partners and manufacturers.

CNL's US based Chairman; Graham Wallis says "The US technical center will complement our technical centers in Europe and soon India, providing customers with world class support anywhere and at any time. We have a channel partner network which now spans the US, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India, so this time phased approach makes perfect sense."

CNL believes it is the first PSIM developer to offer internally resourced global support facilities. While outsourcing of support is becoming an industry trend, CNL sees partner and end user support as a key component of its ecosystem and product differentiation. Wallis says "With the kind of installations we already have and the ones we are engaged to build, CNL does not believe that anything short of our own local resource will suffice."
