US army accreditation of NetCracker.

Netcracker Technology : 30 April, 2008  (New Product)
Enterprise Infrastructure Management product gains certification for use with US military organisations.
NetCracker Technology has announced that its Enterprise Infrastructure Management (EIM) solution is the first OSS solution to pass the rigours of the Army IACORA Office's Authority to Operate (ATO) certification process. EIM is now authorised to operate on all Army networks at the unclassified but sensitive level.

"We are proud to be recognised by the US Army and Army National Guard for this ground-breaking project that merges the power of IT and Telecom networks," said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker Technology. "We look forward to the opportunity to support future Army enterprise infrastructure management needs and deployments."

US Army and Army National Guard use NetCracker's inventory, reconciliation, workflow, and fulfilment capabilities to increase automation, improve the management of IT and Network assets, and provide de-conflicted end-to-end resource views.

NetCracker's v7.0 solution provides end-to-end resource views across Army's IT and Telecom networks, monitors software usage on PCs and servers, manages software licenses, and coordinates that information with network information such as WAN capacity, thus merging the power of both IT and Telecom networks.

ATO certification is required for applications that run on live production Army networks. The certification was granted by Army's IACORA Office, following intensive data gathering and testing. The 6 month ATO certification process assessed and tested more than 100 controls — and the results demonstrate the high quality of NetCracker's solutions.
