Unlicensed doormen operating in Kidderminster

Security Industry Authority : 29 September, 2009  (Company News)
Wyre Forest Council audit reveals unlicensed door men operating in the town of Kidderminster
Licensing officers from Wyre Forest District Council with support from the Security Industry Authority carried out inspections last Saturday to ensure pub door staff were working legally by holding and displaying valid SIA licences.

Two unlicensed door staff were detected and further enquiries are being made.

SIA Head of Investigation Paul Cartlidge said: "The public should look for and expect to see professional door staff displaying their SIA Door Supervisor licences. Those who work without holding a licence put themselves at risk of prosecution."
