Tru-View web filtering technology leads to phenomenal growth for Bloxx

Bloxx : 25 April, 2008  (Company News)
Focus on technological development and improvements to web filtering technology have led to 700% growth over three years for Bloxx.
Bloxx has grown by a phenomenal 700% in the last three financial years. In line with this success, staff numbers have increased by almost a quarter on last year. This dramatic growth is accredited to the significant customer benefits delivered by Bloxx's Tru-View Technology, which sets the company's web filtering solution apart from traditional web filters. Bloxx also predicts further projected growth following its move into international territories.

Listed in the 2007 Deloitte Technology UK Fast 50, EMEA Fast 500 and short listed in the Red Herring 100 Europe 2008 awards, Bloxx offers third-generation web filtering technology based on the company's patented Tru-View Technology. The company has seen considerable increase in customer demand for its web filtering appliances over the past year and is now believed to be ranked the number one fastest growing web filtering company globally.

The continued success of Bloxx has been boosted by the launch last year of its revolutionary Tru-View Technology. This combines the benefits of conventional methods of Internet filtering, such as URL databases and keyword scanning, with new intelligent identification and analysis technologies to instantly classify web pages in real time. With the ongoing dramatic growth of the Internet and the increasingly dynamic nature of web content, first and second generation web filters no longer provide adequate protection.

Bloxx's plans for international expansion are well underway; having recently opened an office in Australia and a US launch imminent. In addition, Bloxx is actively seeking resellers to support this global expansion.

The company boasts an impressive customer base of over one million users, from large corporations to educational institutions, including JCB and The Money Shop. The demand for web filtering is ever increasing, fuelled by growing concerns over staff and student productivity levels, network security-related issues and the legal implications surrounding inappropriate Internet use.

'Organisations have now realised that second generation web filters which rely on URL lists and keywords are no longer capable of efficiently or effectively managing access to today's constantly changing web,' comments Bloxx Managing Director, Eamonn Doyle. 'This realisation has spurred the recent success of Bloxx, in both sales and company expansion. It mirrors our ambitious nature and dedication to providing the most reliable and efficient web filter on the market.'
