Trojan attacks on embassy web sites.

Aladdin Knowledge Systems : 22 January, 2008  (Technical Article)
Aladdin reveals attacks targeted at Embassy web sites designed to infect users with embedded Trojan.
On Monday morning, the Israeli-based Aladdin eSafe Content Security Response Team confirmed that research has uncovered a specific pattern of Web site hacks targeting multiple embassies. The attackers are using identical methods employing hidden iFrame tags to infect Web site visitors with Trojans. Although it cannot be verified, evidence suggests that it is extremely likely that the same attacker or group of hackers could be responsible.

Specific findings include:.

1/20/08 - (NEW) The Aladdin CSRT identified a Netherlands Embassy Web site in Russia is infecting visitors with a Trojan on its main page.

11/14/07 - The Aladdin CSRT identified that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Web site infected visitors with a Trojan on its main page.

11/2/07 - The Aladdin CSRT identified a Ukraine Embassy Web site in Lithuania that infected visitors with a Trojan on its main page.

It is highly likely that other similar Web sites have also been targeted - though not yet identified.
