Trade show award for Counter Terror Expo 2009

Counter Terror Expo : 07 July, 2009  (Company News)
The 2009 Counter Terror Expo Event has been awarded Best Trade Launch Show
Counter Terror Expo 2009, held earlier this year at the QE II Conference and Exhibition in Westminster, has been named Best Trade Launch Show by the Association of Event Organisers (AEO). The event was the first of its kind to bring together governmental agencies, security services, law enforcement and leading specialists and technologists in the counter terrorism arena for two days of critical debate on the continuing global threat faced from terrorism.

"We're thrilled to receive this award which most properly recognises the dedication and determination of all those involved in taking the concept of a trade show in a highly specialised area from inception to culmination," comments Peter Jones, Managing Director, Niche Events. "Their professionalism in the face of adverse economic conditions that have prompted many other trade show to fall by the wayside is one of the principal reasons why this event was such a great success."

The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) is the trade body representing companies which conceive, create, develop or manage trade exhibitions and consumer events. The award for Best Trade Launch Show was presented at AEO Excellence 09 Awards ceremony held in London at the end of June.

Counter Terror Expo 2009 sold out months before it opened its doors. Held against a backdrop of the continuing threat from global terrorism, the event saw in excess of 4000 visitors and attracted 118 exhibitors of the very latest counter terrorism technologies.

"Counter Terror Expo is unique within the defence and security sector in that it is the only event providing a forum for meaningful and constructive discourse amongst the principal stakeholders charged with protecting of the public," adds Mr Jones. "With the next Counter Terror Expo being held at a time when advanced security planning for XXX Olympiad steps up a gear, I'm confident that it will consolidate it's position as the world leading exhibition and conference in the defence and security sector," concludes Peter Jones.

Following on from the success of the previous event, over 130 exhibitors have already secured exhibition space for Counter Terror Expo 2010, which is to be held 14-15 April in the National Hall at London Olympia.
