Total Security 2010 available in beta

Behavioural scanning technology features in BitDefender's Total Security 2010 which is now available for beta testing
BitDefender has announced that BitDefender Total Security 2010 is available for beta testing. Users who wish to test the new software can subscribe the BidDefender web site.

The company is offering prizes to the most thorough beta testers, including an Asus Eee PC to the most active beta tester on http://beta.bitdefender.com. Other prizes include a Nintendo Wii, an Apple iPod Touch and free licenses for BitDefender Total Security 2010.

BitDefender Total Security 2010 beta offers enhanced features, including:

* Behavioural Scanner Technology: The software uses a new heuristic detection technology implemented in BitDefender antivirus software.
* Enhanced Performance: New architecture designed for better performance with a streamlined scan process and driver integration.
* Improved User Interface: Improved user interface with a simplified look and feel that provides access only to critical security actions and the help area.
* More Stringent Parental Control: Improved website filter, website categories and customisable profiles, a reporting system with e-mail alerts, application time control, and the ability to schedule a user's access to certain applications.

Carmen Maierean, BitDefender's senior desktop product manager said: "We use beta testing as the last in a series of steps to ensure our customers receive the best possible protection against all types of malware and e-threats. We are counting on great interest from our user community for a successful beta test of Total Security 2010 and we are certain that the finished product will meet their most exacting demands."
