TimeSight expands advisory board

TimeSight Systems : 27 March, 2009  (Company News)
Former head of MI6 joins TimeSight Systems to provide his insight and extensive experience on the company's advisory board
TimeSight Systems has announced that Sir Richard Dearlove has joined the TimeSight Strategic Advisory Board. With a distinguished career of over 40 years at Britain's Secret Intelligence Service (also known as MI6) that includes five years as the agency's head, Sir Richard brings his extensive knowledge and renowned background to TimeSight Systems as the company continues to grow and evolve worldwide.

"The ability for TimeSight Systems to attract the quality of advisory board members such as Sir Richard speaks to the power of TimeSight VLM solutions and its potential to increase security worldwide," said Charles Foley, CEO and Chairman of TimeSight Systems. "Sir Richard's knowledge, experience and contacts make him a welcome addition to our current high calibre advisory, investment and management teams. We look forward to his assistance in increasing the penetration of TimeSight solutions as we continue to make high resolution and longer retention effective and affordable."

Sir Richard joins a group of distinguished industry security veterans on TimeSight Systems' Strategic Advisory Board including James Connor, one of the top security professionals and former corporate security head at Symantec Corporation, and Dr Francis Harvey who served as Secretary of the United States Army from November 2004 to March 2007 under President George Bush.

"Seldom have I seen technology advances that win in almost every way at the same time, in terms of speed, capacity, affordability, reliability, endurance, and simplicity," said Sir Richard. "VLM presents a solution for the increased need for security at affordable costs in today's turbulent political and financial climates. I look forward to working closely with TimeSight Systems and the other members of the Strategic Advisory Board."

Sir Richard was educated at Queen's College, Cambridge, a favorite recruiting ground for the intelligence agencies. He began his MI6 career in 1966 and two years later, received his first overseas posting to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. After postings in Prague, Paris and Geneva, Sir Richard became head of the MI6 Washington station in 1991. He returned to the UK in 1993 to serve as director of personnel and administration and became director of operations the following year. Sir Richard received a knighthood in June 2001, and took up the position of Master of Cambridge University's Pembroke College after leaving MI6 in 2004.
