Ticket Fraud Reduction Achievement using ReputationManager

New Era Tickets has managed to reduce ticketing fraud by 98 percent with the use of ReputationManager from iovation for the detection of online fraud attempts
iovation, a provider of the device reputation services for preventing online fraud and abuse, has announced the results of a recent benchmark study with customer New Era Tickets, a full-service ticketing solution provider created by Comcast-Spectacor. New Era Tickets uses iovation's device-based fraud management solution to successfully identify cyber criminals and stop ticket fraud - reducing fraud losses for its arena clients and protecting the public from purchasing stolen or duplicate tickets for sporting and entertainment events.


"The reality is that device recognition is one of the only ways to really stop scalping and unfair ticket sales. Every time someone puts in a new address or a new name—you can't tell if it's really a different person. But with iovation, I can tell that someone at one machine just bought 80 tickets," said Steve Geib, vice president of client services for New Era Tickets.

iovation ReputationManager has enabled New Era Tickets to cut fraud losses, which used to be in the six figures, by 98 percent. Not only has iovation helped New Era Tickets to prevent considerable losses for its customers, it has also significantly improved the company's operational efficiency.
