Threat Centre Application For Apple iPhone

ESET : 27 August, 2010  (New Product)
Available as a free download from iTunes the ESET Threat Center from ESET bring information on web-based threats instantly to iPhone users
ESET has launched the company's first iPhone application - ESET Threat Center. The application gives users the ability to locate the biggest web-based threats, directly from ESET's Global Threat Lab.

As cyber attacks grow more skilled and sophisticated, it is increasingly important that the public arm themselves with the information and skills needed to combat these threats. By making this information available in an easy to use iPhone app, ESET gives users immediate access to vital information.

The application includes the following features:

* Safety Tips: Easy to understand tips and tutorials from ESET's Global Threat Lab on best practices in search, email, social media, applications, ecommerce and more.
* Location-based Infections: Global Threat Map shows threat "hot spots" — highlighting geographic regions with the highest rate of infection.
Latest Threats: Stay informed with continuous updates from ESET's Global Threat Lab.
* Malware Reports: Access to discussions from ESET researchers and industry leaders around the latest trends in security.
* Social Media Integration: Connect directly with ESET's research team through ESET's Threat Blog, Facebook page, YouTube and Twitter for the most up-to-date information and in-depth analysis.

"In our increasingly connected society, it is important that people are aware of the changing threatscape, regardless of where they are," said Randy Abrams, director of technical education at ESET. "This application is an additional tool in our continued commitment to helping computer users understand and protect themselves against cybercrime."

ESET Threat Center is available as a free download in the Apple iTunes store.
