Swift Alarms director appointed to NACOSS council.

National Security Inspectorate : 30 May, 2007  (Company News)
New chairman to oversee NACOSS council discussions with approved companies.
The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is pleased to welcome Paul Waterman, Technical Director, of Kent-based Swift Alarm Group, as the new Chairman of the NACOSS Gold Council of Chairman. Paul replaces Ashley Carmichael, Managing Director of Specialised Security Systems, who has stepped down this year after eight years as Chairman.

The NACOSS Gold Council of Chairmen is made up of representatives of NACOSS Gold companies who meet twice yearly to discuss current issues with invited NSI staff. The Chairmen represent one of ten regional meetings, which can be attended by any NACOSS Gold approved company. Issues are brought to the Council of Chairman meeting for discussion between the Regional Chairman and NSI staff.

The Council of Chairmen and the regional meetings were set up ten years ago in order to facilitate communication between NSI (NACOSS as the organisation was then known) and NACOSS approved companies. Each regional meeting is chaired and run by representatives of NACOSS Gold approved companies, with NSI providing support.

Paul Waterman, who has 27 years industry experience, with over 20 of those at Swift Alarms, commented: "I am pleased to have taken on this role which provides essential communication between approved companies and NSI. The meetings have covered a lot of ground over the years and continue to play an important role in providing a platform for NACOSS Gold companies to discuss issues as one voice with NSI".
