Survey indicates high level of user satisfaction with AVG.

AVG UK And Ireland : 19 June, 2007  (Company News)
AVG user survey in Europe and America shows high levels of satisfaction with the company's anti-virus products.
Grisoft, the developer of AVG Internet security software, has revealed results of an international public opinion survey on the perception of AVG in Great Britain, the United States and the Czech Republic. Prague-based market analysis group, Factum Invenio and Keating Concept, located in New York, performed the study on 3393 users of different anti-virus software.

The research shows the overall satisfaction rate of AVG users in the UK to be 98 per cent, the highest of the regions tested. Respondents share the perception of AVG Anti-Virus as highly advanced security software and attributed frequent and automatic updates and good customer service/technical support as reasons for satisfaction.

AVG is also very popular with IT professionals. More than 75 per cent of IT Managers in the UK would buy AVG Anti-virus for home use, which helps to demonstrate the confidence the IT industry has for AVG which many considered to be 'tough on viruses, easy on users'.

When choosing an anti-virus solution, UK users sighted price and recommendation as the key influencers in their decision. Both home and corporate users consider AVG to have better technical level attributes than the leading two manufacturers in the comparison.

"We highly value the satisfaction of AVG users, whether home or professional," explains Mike Foreman, managing partner at AVG UK & Ireland. "We continually strive to provide the best products to protect against threats without draining system resources and our second to none technical support has clearly helped to sway opinions in our favour."

The survey also found that corporate customers in all of the countries choose functionality and quality of security products as the most important aspects when selecting security software. However, British IT professionals prefer compatibility with software already deployed on their networks where as American and Czech users are most concerned with technical support, price and functionality.
