Successful European partner conference for NETAVIS

NetAvis : 29 January, 2009  (Company News)
Video Analytics, H.264 compression and support for Megapixel cameras all covered at system integrator's conference in Vienna
The NETAVIS System Integrator Conference took place in the Eventhotel Modul in Vienna from 22nd to 23rd of January 2009. For this purpose NETAVIS system integrators, technology partners and selected customers were invited. With more than 100 participants from UK, Finland, Serbia, Greece, Croatia, Germany, Bahrain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Austria and Switzerland, the conference has been a raving success.

Renowned companies such as Axis Communications, SUN Microsystems, Sony, IQinVision, Basler Vision Technologies, viasys intelligent video and Eydolon participated.

The conference was based on a two-day program. The first day was dedicated to informative and interesting series of lectures. Regarding the content, the highlights were as follows:

* Video analytics: The megatrend of the next years (with focus on precise applications)
* Support of MegaPixel cameras
* Video format H.264

Moreover, NETAVIS had shown the new Observer version 3.1. With this version it is possible to run MegaPixel cameras with a minimal bandwidth of only 40kBit/s. Moreover the live streaming and archive access can be optimized through the new ABS Transcoder (Adaptively Balanced Stream). Transcoding is able to convert MJPEG MPEG-4 H.264 and MxPEG streams into ABS.1 stream. This enables excellent live streaming quality in all resolutions, even in mega pixel quality.

During the breaks, visitors had the possibility to inform themselves about the latest products of NETAVIS and its technology partners on several exhibition booths.

On the second day, the focus was on interactive workshops. The workshops were conducted by Axis Communications and SUN Microsystems as well as by NETAVIS. The aim of it was to provide the participants with an even more detailed knowledge about the products of NETAVIS and its technology partners.

"From my point of view, the conference has been a raving success, both for NETAVIS and for the present technology partners. The participants had, on one hand, the possibility to increase their knowledge about IP-Video and inform themselves about the latest product news of NETAVIS and its technology partners. On the other hand, the conference had been a great occasion for sharing experience with other system integrators, networking and intensifying and strengthening business relationships", states Wolfgang Baumgartner, CEO of NETAVIS Software.

We would like to congratulate Mr. Thomas Reininghaus, who has won a Fujitsu-Siemens recorder, including NETAVIS Observer 3, within the scope of the NEATVIS lottery at the conference.
