State shortlist for Carbon Motors operations

Carbon Motors : 04 March, 2009  (Company News)
Carbon Motors identifies the 5 American states where it is considering setting up its operations and creating thousands of jobs
In a world where corporate site selections are often topics of great secrecy held behind closed doors, Carbon Motors has taken a very different and transparent approach. Having this dialogue in public will help drive the required private-public sector collaboration.

Additionally, as we look to eliminate wasteful spending out of government, promote innovation in the private sector, and place a focus on the accountability and responsibility of elected and appointed government officials at the local, state, and federal levels to deliver on the rhetoric of new jobs, the environment and support for our first responders - we thought it best to share it all with the nation.

Carbon Motors is pleased to announce that it has narrowed its search to "The Short List" of the final 5 US States under consideration for the Carbon Campus which will house the entirety of the company's operations. Independent projections estimate that Carbon Motors will create over 10,000 new direct and indirect jobs in the selected region that will drive a $3 billion positive economic impact over ten years. Formal requests for proposals were issued to the following sites (in alphabetical order) to their respective local, state, and federal authorities:

Georgia Braselton and Pooler
Indiana Connersville
Michigan Plymouth
North Carolina Charlotte
South Carolina Greenville and Spartanburg

In addition to economic development efforts, Carbon Motors continues to have great success with its Pure Justice Tour. Recent stops in Michigan, Georgia and South Carolina have caused quite a stir - from the 38 minute segment on Autoline Detroit, to the cover of POLICE Magazine , to the abundance of production slot reservations that are quickly leading to a complete sell-out of our first year of production. Next week, The Machine stalks its prey at the GovSec Conference in Washington, DC - don't miss it!
