Single channel DVR built into dome camera

Vista CCTV : 22 May, 2009  (New Product)
The Vista mini-dome incorporates on-board DVR with real time recording facility with motion detection or alarm triggers
Single channel DVR built into dome camera
Receive high quality 540TVL images direct at the camera with Vista's new VFDA3V9-MD. The unit combines the popular VFDA 3-axis dome with an in-built miniature single channel DVR capable of recording real-time 4-CIF (D1) video. The video can be recorded to the DVR on a schedule, external alarm or motion detection trigger.

The Mini-D's memory card can easily be removed and the images reviewed on a PC using the software that's provided free of charge. The dome bubble has been designed to be partially removable, allowing the Mini-D's card to be extracted quickly and easily in order to view the captured video.

Although the dome breaks new ground in providing a total CCTV standalone package, it can still be integrated successfully into new and existing CCTV systems. When connected to a standard DVR the video will be recorded as normal, with the added benefit that it will store important real-time, high quality images on the integral DVR. To greatly enhance record duration and speed of search, the unit will start recording on the detection of motion in front of the camera or on receipt of an alarm contact.

The on-board service jack allows fine zoom and focus adjustments to be made local to the camera, without having to find and disconnect the video cable which is usually maintained above the ceiling.

"The VFDA3V9 offers a discreet recording solution and provides users with an excellent back up should the signal from the camera to an external DVR be interrupted, such as if the cables were tampered with," explains Mark Pritchard, Vista's divisional director. "Additionally, it provides a true real-time recording solution, something that is often not achieved with a separate camera and DVR."
