Simpler software asset management and compliance tool

Business Continuity Services : 12 September, 2007  (New Product)
Latest version of software organiser simplifies the task of managing software assets and ensuring compliance
Following the successful release earlier this year of its industry leading licence compliance solution, Software Organiser 4.0, Business Continuity Services (BCS) is pleased to announce that it has upgraded the product - making it even easier to use and is launching a new version, Software Organiser 4.1

Software Organiser 4.1 provides customers with 80 new feature enhancements, improving usability and compatibility in particular. New features include a 'Compliance Eye', which allows users to view their compliance position at a glance. Additionally, 'Save View', enables users to move between screens saving all previously selected screens, groups and filters. Software Organiser 4.1 is now Microsoft SQL 2005 compatible, with Vista compatibility planned for the end of the year.

Software Organiser enables companies to qualify, assess, address and reduce the risk of non-compliance through the effective management and tracking of company software licences. This easy-to-use product complements any auditing tool, enabling organisations to implement effective Software Asset Management (SAM) Programmes.

Andy Fisher, New Business Development Director for BCS, comments: "We have seen massive interest in Software Organiser this year, both from resellers and end-users. The latest version has been developed as a result of the feedback we have received. By listening to our partners and customers we were able to spot where we could improve and enhance the functionality of the software. Software Organiser 4.1 supersedes 4.0 making the product faster and easy to navigate and use."

Since its launch last January, Software Organiser has seen great interest both abroad and at home, and the company's partner base has gone from strength to strength. BCS works closely with its partners and is dedicated to aligning itself with the best of breed in the industry, as Sharon Galbraith, Consultant for Soft Asset explains:

"We are very proud to be working with Software Organiser because it is a quality product and an extremely compelling offering. As a partner, it is good to be working with a company that invites feedback. BCS runs a number of partner workshops, which provide a great opportunity to exchange ideas, which I feel has helped BCS to make such great progress with 4.1."

In addition, Peter Alderson, Software Asset Management Consultant at Computacenter, commented: 'When you buy Software Organiser you are buying not just a licence management product, you'll get service from a company that actually listens to and helps its customers. Software Organiser provides a proven methodology which helps to reduce the complexities associated with software licensing. This is an area that BCS fully understand. The company is committed to working not just with us but also our customers to help deliver licence compliance projects. In fact, we are installing the latest version 4.1 at a customer site this week.'
