Shot Bolts Rated For Hazardous and Explosive Environments

Magnet Schultz : 03 June, 2010  (New Product)
The new ATEX rated range of shotbolts from Magnet Schultz are designed for operation in explosive or hazardous environments such as on oil rigs
Electromagnet subassembly development specialist, Magnet Schultz has launched a new ATEX-rated shotbolt range at the recent IFSEC 2010 show. The new units are the only shotbolt locking devices designed and tested to operate in explosive & hazardous environments.

The GSCE Range shotbolts are manufactured from special intrinsically-safe materials to ensure no spark during actuation, making them the ideal choice for industrial oil and gas platforms and installations. The units feature a simply terminal box to accommodate a user's own cable, allowing easy integration to any application while complying with safety and legal requirements. They are IP54certified.

Typical applications include oil rig access control, and oil rig accommodation blocks, etc. The GSCE ATEX Shotbolts are available in a range of three sizes.
