Security training courses for Northern Ireland

The Anvil Group has announced its series of training courses for security professionals involved in CCTV operation, guarding, close protection and door supervision
The Anvil Group has designed a full range of certified courses to meet the needs of individuals and corporations, either wishing or currently working within the security industry. Responding to the changes within the security market in the United Kingdom the Anvil Group has designed these courses to ensure best practice is promoted throughout the industry.

Additionally, The Anvil Group will contact security sector employers to ensure that candidates are placed accurately within the industry through its Employer Assistance Programme. It will be providing the following SIA and Cities & Guilds accredited courses at its Northern Ireland Training Centre:

* Level 2 NVQ in CCTV Operators (City & Guilds 1904), including a 6 hour refresher for previously trained / experienced CCTV Operators
* Level 2 NVQ in Conflict Management (City & Guilds 1884)
* Level 3 NVQ in Close Protection, including a 24 hour recommended refresher for previously trained / experienced CP operators
* 1886: Level 3 Trainers Certificate in Conflict Management
* 1900: Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors
* 1902: Level 2 Certificate for Security Guards
* 1903: Level 2 Close Protection
* 1904: CCTV Operator

Under the rules of the SIA's Approved Contractor's scheme, it is illegal for organisations to employ individuals who have not been approved by the scheme. "The Objective of the SIA Approved Contractor scheme is to raise performance standards. These courses are in line with these standards and have been designed to develop new opportunities," adds Hughes.
