Security Software Sales Targets Surpassed At Trustmarque

Trustmarque Solutions has seen demand for its Managed Licence Services and other IT security products increase during the last six months
Value Added Reseller Trustmarque Solutions is delighted to announce that six months since it launched its solutions division, the team has beaten its own targets by a considerable margin. The Trustmarque Enterprise Solutions Group (TESG) was launched in September 2009 offering expertise in Managed Licence Services, Information Security, Infrastructure Optimisation, Unified Communications, Storage and Virtualisation, Business Intelligence, and Project and Programme Management. Today it is proving to be a successful part of the Trustmarque offering and is already ahead of plan.

Last year, Trustmarque took a strategic decision to move from being a Large Account Reseller (LAR) to become a Value Added Reseller, deploying and implementing solutions with the necessary Project Management & support, installation and maintenance. The success of the team has seen TESG's contribution to Trustmarque's overall gross profit margin rise from 2 percent in September 2009 to 19 percent in January 2010. This extraordinary leap demonstrates the sales levels that are being achieved; six months into TESG being launched, it is already two months ahead of its two year plan and its accomplishments have exceeded all expectations. Clearly this has impacted staff numbers and where Trustmarque had previously looked to expand its staff numbers by 50 percent in year two, that increase has been brought forward by 12 months.

David Papworth, Head of the TESG says becoming more customer focused is the key to this success:

"As a LAR we didn't always have the correct relationships with the end client and we felt that with our experienced and skilled team, this was an area ripe for growth. Offering a more rounded solution makes sense to customers because we provide more continuity and can act as a one-stop-shop for those organisations looking to instigate change. We are forecasting to close March, which typically is Trustmarque's biggest month in the year, with 15 percent of our business coming from our solutions division. We really are delighted with our achievements to date and the future potential of TESG is very exciting."

The outstanding early success of the TESG has come from the significant range of diverse services it offers in several key areas.

•Managed Licence Services: Trustmarque helps customers ascertain the best strategy to rationalise its IT environment through Renewals Management, Procurement Management, Entitlement Management, Software Asset Management, Licensing Consultancy, Portfolio and Catalogue Management. Organisations can realise the best value in their software purchases and manage it effectively throughout its entire life cycle if they adopt sound Software Asset Management. Trustmarque shows customers what is on their network creating a detailed inventory helping them to reduce the total cost of ownership of their software.

•Infrastructure Optimisation: This solutions area is concerned with lowering business overheads and driving new innovations in IT through removing inefficient and ineffective processes, helping to create new ways of dealing with current or new processes within the organisation.

•Information Security: Trustmarque's Information Security Group helps its customers assess, manage and mitigate their risk. Our experienced security team provides solutions to match security needs, from encryption and protective monitoring to vulnerability management, plus a range of managed and cloud-based services.

•Storage and Virtualisation: Trustmarque delivers a range of solutions including data storage, infrastructure management, and Virtualisation for server, desktop of application, data centre management and data protection.

•Business Intelligence: BI solutions are designed to provide information that delivers knowledge and enables decision making and Trustmarque's customers find real tangible benefits in getting real-time information about performance.

•Unified Communications: Our Unified communications solutions can help address the challenge that organisations face with increasingly complex environments featuring a wide array of communications methods.

Now that the company is already ahead of schedule, Trustmarque Solutions is actively planning for the future in this fast and evolving industry. Mark Godliman, Chief Operating Officer, comments:
