Security risk seminar series taken to the regions.

ASIS Europe UK : 18 March, 2008  (Company News)
Free seminar series from ASIS Chapter 208 made more accessible to members with the inclusion of new venues.
Following consultation with members, ASIS Chapter 208 is pleased to announce the fourth of a planned series of events which are designed to engage with those members who may find it difficult to travel to other seminars, held more centrally, and to introduce prospective members to ASIS International.

The first regional breakfast briefing will be hosted by Great Manchester Police at The Sedgley Park Centre, Sedgley Road, Prestwick, Manchester, M25 0JT On Thursday April 24th 2008.

These briefing sessions are designed to be useful and informative to those professions engaged in security risk management. The chapter envisage that the agenda that has been put together by the organizing team will stimulate valuable debate with those who are able to attend and provide a forum for continued professional development.

The event will commence at 08:15 and will run until 10.30. It will take the form of an informal intimate event to keep energy levels high. Breakfast will be available.

- Security by Design with a Twist - Relevance to Corporate Activity.
- John Dwyer, a former Assistant Chief Constable of Cheshire Police. John will be speaking around "Buildings and Processes".
- Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007- Strategies for Effective Compliance.
- David Maddock will explain the responsibilities of duty holders and how to effectively assess risks and the implications for safety and security.
