M86 Security has announced the immediate availability of M86 Security Reporter (SR) 3.1. With the introduction of a new virtual appliance option, the M86 SR 3.1 is now the most flexible, cost effective Web security reporting solution in the industry. Additional enhancements to this release include user-friendly productivity reports and graphs that translate complex data into practical business information for executives and IT administrators, enabling them to identify security weaknesses, ensure compliance, and assess the value of their IT security investments.
“Many of our customers are looking to consolidate their infrastructure and roll out a virtualization strategy across their entire IT, including security. The availability of the M86 Security Reporter 3.1 as a virtual appliance option comes at the right time,” says David Lannin, Managing Director, Assurix. “With the M86 Secure Web Gateway available as a virtual appliance option and now also the M86 Security Reporter, M86 has provided us with a great opportunity to grow our business by offering our customers the possibility to reap the benefits of going virtual and reduce cost.”
M86 Security developed the M86 SR 3.1 virtual appliance in response to the growing popularization of IT virtualization, especially in North America and Europe. By choosing this low-maintenance, high-performance option, organizations can fit security reporting into their existing infrastructures easily and affordably, without the need for additional hardware or software.
Furthermore, when the M86 SR 3.1 is deployed along with the M86 Secure Web Gateway virtual appliance, customers will receive an easily-managed, centralized virtual security and reporting solution.
Other enhancements to the M86 SR 3.1 include new customizable reports and graphs, improved drill-down capabilities, scheduled auto-delivery and trend analysis, to help administrators analyze data extensively, perform ad hoc reporting and deliver intelligent security recommendations.
“Organizations continue to look for ways to reduce cost and the ability to run real-time, comprehensive security reporting,” said Werner Thalmeier, vice president of product management, M86 Security. “The virtual appliance option for the M86 Security Reporter provides companies with the benefit of reduced hardware costs, while also addressing real-time monitoring and compliance needs.”
