Mark VanBeest, CFI, director of global security and investigations at J C Penney, will present “Building Retail & Law Enforcement Partnerships Through Training” at the May 30th webinar of StopORC at 12 pm PDT. It is aimed at qualified professionals involved in combatting Organized Retail Crime (ORC).
VanBeest will discuss the critical need for ORC training to facilitate more effective partnerships and collaboration between retailers and law enforcement to assure best practices in all ORC investigations. During the webinar, he will introduce the training video “ORC for Patrol” that will examine the need for instruction in ORC for all levels of law enforcement. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask VanBeest questions.
With over 28 years of loss prevention and law enforcement experience, VanBeest heads global and aviation security, corporate and field investigations at jcpenney as well as directing its organized retail crime strategy across the company’s 1,100 stores nationwide. He is also a member of Joint Organized Retail Crime Task Force (JORCTF), the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Crimes Against Business (CAB) Committee and the StopORC Advisory Council.
