Security and event management system integration

On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI) : 14 July, 2009  (Company News)
Ocularis from OnSSI has been integrated with Software House's security and event management system C*CURE 9000

On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI) has collaborated with Software House, a Tyco International company, to integrate the capabilities of OnSSI's Ocularis video-centric PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) platform with the Software House C*CURE 9000 security and event management system. The integration of these two technologies provides customers with a single, robust interface for securing their enterprise. “This collaboration delivers practical value to customers by converging two of their most important security investments,†said Mulli Diamant, Vice President of OnSSI. “C*CURE 9000 customers will be able to enjoy the most reliable, innovative and feature rich IP Video platform with their access control solution.†The C*CURE 9000 and Ocularis integration merges the management functions of access control and video surveillance. At the heart of the new solution is the capability for customers to view, search, and play back video directly from the C*CURE 9000 monitoring station. The collaborative interface incorporates some of Ocularis’ unique features, such as its virtual joystick, as well as the capability to create events and alarms based on status received from the video server and cameras, to trigger pre-programmed camera activity. The combination of the two security applications, with a rich centralized management control platform, will enable enterprises to reduce the escalating costs of managing two separate yet related systems, in addition to providing the framework for improved security. “We’re pleased to work with OnSSI to provide our shared customers with solutions that complement and enhance the capabilities of C*CURE 9000.†said Warren Brown, director of product management for Tyco International’s Electronic Security Products. “These results exemplify the core objective of the Software House Connected program, which provides a process for partners to integrate and test their solutions with C*CURE 9000 to give our customers complete control of their video and access control system.†OnSSI’s Ocularis IP Video Management solution is an open-architecture, non-proprietary, video-centric software platform that allows viewing, management and recording of video from an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance cameras. Ocularis also allows for video storage management and can correlate and fuse video and non-video events and alerts resulting in automatic video delivery to subscribers of interest. C*CURE 9000 security and event management system utilizes IT- standard tools and innovative distributed architecture. It offers advanced integration capabilities, advanced alarm routing and remote access for system administration and monitoring via a light client. Leveraging Microsoft's sophisticated .NET 3.5 technology, C*CURE 9000 provides native encryption and XML data transfer, making it one of the fastest, most secure systems in the industry. This integration highlights OnSSI's response to industry demands for open architecture, and the flexibility to empower integrators and users to choose the specific security solutions they need with confidence knowing that the components will work together transparently. Offering a broader solution to address additional needs in the market, these collaborative agreements also reflect the continued growth of IP-centric solutions.
