Secure thin clients represented at Japanese trade event

Symbio Technologies : 20 September, 2007  (Company News)
Symbio Technologies selected to represent secure thin client products for consideration on the Japanese technology market
Symbio Technologies has been selected by JETRO, the Japanese External Trade Organization, to participate in CEATAC Japan 2007, Asia's largest technology industry event in Chiba.

One of 12 North American companies it selected to participate, JETRO will facilitate pre-arranged meetings with Japanese distributors, government agencies and resellers. Symbio COO Roger Del Russo and Peter Tierney, managing director of World Technology Corporation of New York City, an export management and international business developer, will be on-site.

Mr Del Russo said Symbio was chosen for its "expertise and innovation in secure, thin-client computing, including Symbion Certified Network Terminals -- simple, stateless devices that connect to a network in place of complex PCs, and the Symbiont Boot Appliance, which powers, connects, and manages the terminals. "Our server- and security-centric computing solution is far more secure than old-fashioned, PC-based networks because there is never any data on the desktop," he said.

"Being at CEATAC with JETRO gives Symbio excellent exposure to the Japanese government and reseller marketplaces. As information security is one of the fastest growing sectors in Japan, with more than $6 billion spent on safeguarding information in 2006, Symbio's products are a natural fit," he said.
