Secure Storage Locker System Designed for use in Schools
Storage specialists Action Storage will be using this year's Education Show (4-6th March at the NEC Birmingham) to showcase its innovative eXtreme plastic locker range to schools. eXtreme plastic lockers offer exceptionally secure, robust storage and unique benefits that make them a vast improvement over metal school lockers and will, for the first time, be available on an operation lease basis.

eXtreme lockers offer a superior alternative because they are made from hardwearing, waterproof polyethylene plastic. They can be stacked outdoors without the risk of them rusting or deteriorating in the weather, making them ideal for stacking next to the swimming pool or for storing helmets, lights and waterproof clothing next to cycle shelters. Moving school lockers outdoors also offers significant space saving benefits by freeing up valuable space in classrooms and corridors.

eXtreme plastic lockers are also easier to clean and more hygienic than metal school lockers. They can be sprayed with a high pressure hose and then left to dry thanks to drainage holes which allow water to seep through. Sloping rooftop lids can also be fitted to prevent the accumulation of drink cans, paper and other rubbish.

As well as being water resistant, eXtreme plastic lockers are exceptionally hardwearing and vandal resistant. They can take far more punishment than metal lockers and don't dent easily. In terms of security, the door hinges have been tested to x7 FIRA industry standards and can withstand up to 3200N without breaking. In fact, the eXtreme plastic lockers are so durable that they can resist break in attempts with a claw hammer, offering pupils greater peace of mind knowing their personal possessions are safely locked away throughout the day.

With public spending cuts expected, whoever wins the next election, schools will be under pressure to provide high quality facilities on a shrinking budget. To assist, Action Storage will be offering an operational lease basis for eXtreme plastic lockers, enabling schools to either buy them outright or on a leased basis. The operational lease is expected to be a great boon to schools in these tough economic times.

Schools will be able to assess the unique benefits of the eXtreme plastic locker for themselves at this year's Education Show. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Education Show is an opportunity for schools to find new resources, products and ideas for improving their facilities. Action Storage can be found at stand # J35, which is close to the entrances and between the 'For Your Classroom' and 'For Your School' zones. Action Storage will be happy to answer any questions schools might have on the eXtreme plastic locker as well as discuss other ways it can help improve a school's facilities.

Along with the eXtreme plastic lockers, Action Storage supplies a wide variety of storage equipment for schools, including the new Atlas Economy Locker a range of conventional metal school lockers and cloakroom benches. Additional information on Action Storage's range can be found on its website, where you can order a free 160 page catalogue. All public sector organisations can place orders on credit, and any orders placed on the website receive a 5% discount.
