Secure packaging tape prevents tampering.

Schreiner Group : 10 July, 2007  (New Product)
Tamper-proof packaging tape makes it impossible to open and re-seal packaging without disclosure.
The intention behind sealing secondary packaging, cardboard boxes, or logistics containers with adhesive tape is to prevent undetected removal of the contents.

However, as many cases of pilfering prove, this is not a reliable method to prevent theft. A conventional tape can be slit and, after removing the contents of the parcel, be taped over again without anyone noticing the difference from the outside. This is not possible with Schreiner ProSecure's secure packaging tape. The secure tape has an imprint that constantly varies in relation to its die-cut, serrated edges. When attempting to place another secure packaging tape on top of the slit original tape and trying to accurately position the tapes "print on print," the serrated edges of both tapes will be visibly "out of line." Conversely, when trying to accurately position the serrated edges on top of each other, the printed text and the pattern will not be congruent.

The secure packaging tape can be individualized in terms of a customer logo, color, and size, and is suitable for manual application using a handheld dispenser. The strong adhesive also provides reliable adhesion to cardboard packaging made from recycled materials typically representing a difficult bonding substrate.
