Datacard Group and Identificación Plástica have successfully completed a seminar focusing on “Best Practices for Secure Identification” in Bogota, Colombia.
This exclusive seminar included attendees from dozens of government agencies from Colombia who received an overview of trends, technologies and best practices related to eID programs, credential lifecycle management and secure document design and issuance.
“Given all of the changing trends, increasing regulations and technology innovations on the market today, we want to help organizations make calculated and thoughtful decisions on their secure credential and identification programs,” said Wim Tappij Gielen, senior vice president of international government relations for Datacard Group. “Identificación Plástica has immense local market knowledge in Colombia and is a great channel partner of ours in the region. Their proven experience, along with Datacard Group’s product and industry expertise, brought a powerful combination of valuable insight to the government agencies.”
During the session, the expert panel presented proprietary global market intelligence, best practices for identity life cycle management, case studies and conducted interactive workshops that featured exercises based on a Quality, Durability, Security and Cost (QSDC) methodology—developed by Datacard Group—that helps agencies understand the relationships and trade-offs between critical aspects of any identity credential program. Additionally, the group discussed how specialized card personalization techniques and technologies can reduce counterfeiting and forgery by utilizing Security at Time of PersonalizationTM – a practice that employs variable data and overt features to increase overall program security.
Datacard Group currently has a large network of channel partners around the world that help grow the broad portfolio of Datacard® solutions – which include hardware, software, supplies, consultation and project management for card and credential programs. This particular seminar is an example of how Datacard Group works closely with its channel partners to provide specialized in-region training for organizations wanting to learn more about best-in-class identity programs.
