Secerno enters partnership agreement with ArcSight

Secerno : 09 September, 2008  (Company News)
Database protection software combines with compliance and security management
Secerno has announced a partnership with ArcSight to provide enterprises with a comprehensive security solution to reduce risk and increase visibility across IT infrastructure.

As a DataView Partner within the ArcSight EnterpriseView program, Secerno delivers the capability to monitor and protect confidential data residing in corporate databases. Secerno.SQL enables enterprises to respond to threats to their databases in real-time through Secerno's unique database activity blocking capabilities and will enable full visibility of previously unseen activity. The ArcSight platform correlates the information from Secerno.SQL with user activity beyond the database to give joint customers a clear picture of what is happening to their information. As a result, organisations benefit from improved compliance with confidentiality laws as well as increased data security.

"Customers need to know who is on the network, what data they are seeing, and which actions they are taking with that data," commented Jeff Scheel, senior vice president of business development at ArcSight. "Our partnership with Secerno provides the capability to view activity and prevent unauthorised actions within corporate databases. Customers can make use of their investment in ArcSight by adding database coverage without the overhead of internal database logging. The result is a broader view of enterprise activity, beyond perimeter security.'

Steve Hurn, CEO of Secerno added: "We are delighted to be working with ArcSight and developing a partnership that provides enterprises with an easy way to get pre-integrated, best-of-breed security solutions. As information is compromised more and more by malicious attacks and security breaches these types of solutions are becoming absolutely crucial for customers."

The partnership will be officially announced at the ArcSight User Conference in Alexandra, Virginia where Secerno is a gold sponsor.
