Retail Fraud Conference to take place in UK

Vendorcom : 26 January, 2009  (New Product)
Despite the cancellation of the Retail Business Show, the Retail Fraud Conference from Vendorcom and the 3rd Man will take place in London at the end of January
Despite the cancellation of this year's Retail Business Show, Vendorcom is continuing with its extensive conference programme and has added an exhibition which will feature many of the Cards & Payments industry organisations who were planning to exhibit at the Retail Business Show. Vendorcom will continue as planned with The Vendorcom Retail Fraud Conference in association with fraud protection specialists, the 3rd Man.

Vendorcom is a cards and payments membership organisation which represents key stakeholders in the cards and payments industry. Its primary aims are to promote innovation and thought-leadership, provide a forum for knowledge sharing and issues resolution for its members and encourage capability development across the cards and payments industry.

The Vendorcom Cards & Payments Conference will bring together leading players across the cards and payments industry, including card schemes, banks, systems vendors, consultancies, systems integrators and security assessors in a focused showcase for the industry.

"The Cards & Payments industry is committed to its retail customers and will not let anything get in the way of delivering what is the most wide-ranging conference on Cards & Payments and Card Fraud issues planned in Europe this year," said Paul Rodgers, Chairman of Vendorcom.

Paul Simms, CEO of the 3rd Man, said: "The economic situation is tough for many retailers, which is all the more reason why they should be looking to protect their margins by taking positive action to prevent their businesses from card fraud. Every penny counts right now and many retailers are collaborating and beating fraudsters successfully. This conference will give retailers really valuable insights into how fraud is being reduced."

The exhibition runs on the 28th and 29th January at Olympia.

Both the Vendorcom Cards & Payments Conference and the Vendorcom Retail Fraud Conference is free to attend for all retailers/merchants.
