Report available on UAV use in Border Security

Market Intel Group : 12 January, 2010  (New Product)
The Global market for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Border Security is examined in a new report available from Market Intel Group
Report available on UAV use in Border Security
The United States, Israel and a few European nations currently dominate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) markets. They develop advanced UAVs for their militaries and offer some of their products to foreign governments, though often with severe restrictions. Such dominance will continue in some sectors, but is changing rapidly in other sectors, particularly in specific border areas. This is one of the conclusions of a new market and technology research report titled: 'Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for Border Security - Global Market & Technologies Outlook - 2010-2015' published by Market Intel Group (MiG).

This new report details a trend whereby many developing nations now seek to buy or build advanced UAVs. Pakistan plans to use armed UAVs in its rebellious border provinces but has been refused US Predators. Therefore, the Pakistanis turned to the Italians and Chinese for cooperation on developing their armed UAV. India operates low altitude UAVs on some of its borders and is seeking a manufacturing partner for a larger model. Brazil just purchased at least 15 Israeli Heron high altitude unmanned vehicles, a buy that is sure to result in other South American sales. Panama is shopping for Herons as well. Argentina, South Africa and several other nations are building UAVs for domestic border security use and for possible export.

The new report adds extensive details on payload coverage areas, an Operating Concept integrating UAVs with existing capabilities, a practical UAV selection exercise using a real nation with real UAV capabilities and specifics on which payloads are best for which regions of the world.

MiG's "Border Security" research report is the first in a series that will also analyze and forecast UAV markets for Counterinsurgency and Commercial Applications.

The report identifies, analyzes and forecasts these topics, among others:

* Global UAV Procurement Forecast - by Region - 2010-2015
* Global General and Border Security UAV Procurement Forecast - by Region - 2010-2015
* Global Border Security - UAV Procurement Forecast - by Type- 2010-2015
* Global Border Security UAV - Market Forecast - by Type - 2010-2015
* Global Border Security UAV - Operations & Maintenance Forecast - by Type - 2010-2015
* Border Security UAVs - Operating Concept
* Border Security UAVs - Sensor & Radio Coverage
* How to Sell Border Security UAVs

"Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for Border Security - Global Market & Technologies Outlook - 2010-2015" also provides much needed insight on these issues:

* Filling gaps in today's UAV offerings (focus on unmet demand)
* Creating the right partnerships to offer complete border security capabilities
* Learning the language of border security so as to make those offers effectively
* Creating effective presentations with specific data and high resolution graphics (included)
* Approaching those nations with border security problems that may be solved with the right UAV capabilities
