Remote GSM/GPRS Fingerprint based Time and Attendance

: 18 August, 2009  (New Product)
The Fingertec system from Securemarques enables finger print biometric time and attendance systems to be used at remote locations using GPRS or GSM communications technology
Remote GSM/GPRS Fingerprint based Time and Attendance
Fingerprint technology for time and attendance purposes has been around for some time now, Securemarques have over the last four years provided both networked and stand alone solutions.

Remote locations and the retrieval of information from remote locations has always required prohibitive infrastructure on site, i.e routers and broadband connections.

The company can now offer its latest Fingertec fingerprint time and attendance reader with an option to use the GSM/GPRS mobile network to obtain data.

For instance you could have remote workers at several remote locations, all you would need at the remote station would be a reader (power of course) and a GPRS enabled SIM card inserted.

Back at your head office you would need a dedicated PC to use as a web server, this must have a fixed IP address to connect to the WAN (wide area network), this PC can communicate with all your remote terminals.

You would also be able to download and upload users between all the connected fingerprint terminals, users would not then have to re enroll if they are moved to another work location.

All data sent from the terminals into the web server will be saved into a MySQL database automatically. However, this information is stored locally in the readers should you need to obtain the information locally.

Packaged with the system is the Securemarques powerful TCMS V2 time attendance and access control software. It can generate all transaction logs into useful time attendance reports. There are total of 18 time attendance reports ready for evaluation. TCMS V2 can export calculated attendance data into XLS, TXT or ODBC manager format. These files can be imported into payroll, HR system or other 3rd party software for further calculations.
