Remote Application Platform From Microsoft Protected by GrIDsure

Pattern based authentication technology now integrated into Microsoft's Unified Access Gateway platform
Remote Application Platform From Microsoft Protected by GrIDsure
GrIDsure, the innovative alternative to PINs and passwords, has announced that its unique authentication system has been integrated into Microsoft's UAG (Unified Access Gateway) platform. The solution has been developed in partnership with France-based Skynetrix and will enable workers to authenticate themselves on Microsoft's flexible mobile worker solution without the need for expensive tokens.

GrIDsure's unique solution is a software-based system that allows users to authenticate themselves with a one-time passcode using a pattern on a grid. By integrating with Microsoft's system, a remote worker using UAG will be able to quickly and easily log in to the system. Whenever the user wishes to login, they are presented with a challenge grid of cells containing random numbers and they simply enter the numbers that correspond to their own Personal Identification Pattern (PIP). The numbers in the grid change each time the grid is presented, so the passcode entered is always a one-time code. This effectively eliminates the possibility of shoulder surfing, key logging and various other techniques used to steal passwords.

Stephen Howes, CEO, GrIDsure commented: "Whether it's heavy snow or an Icelandic volcano, the requirement for remote working is very much on the increase - but clearly any remote access solution needs to be secured properly. Most of the industry is still relying on passwords which are inherently flawed or expensive tokens, so I'm really pleased we can offer a more secure, easy to use and cost effective access authentication solution to Microsoft IAG/UAG users."

Julien Vassallo, CEO, Skynetrix: "GrIDsure's solution not only dramatically enhances the security of Microsoft's remote access system, but it also integrates with it extremely well, so I would give it ten out of ten on all fronts. This integration is the first stage in our partnership with GrIDsure and I am looking forward to bringing this system to a wider range of remote access and web-based technologies in the future".
