Sourcefire recruits IT sales executive to take charge of the company's sales activities in the central and eastern European regions
Sourcefire has named Michael Frauen Regional Director of Central and Eastern Europe. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing sales in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and across the Eastern European countries.

"As Sourcefire continues to grow internationally, we are highly focused on ensuring customer security and success," said Tom McDonough, President and COO of Sourcefire. "The addition of Michael helps round out Sourcefire's European sales leadership and provides us with the necessary relationships and experience to support the company's objectives in this region."

With 20 years IT sales and management experience in Central and Eastern Europe, Frauen has led numerous corporate growth initiatives, leveraging channel partners, direct sales teams and large systems integrators. Previously, he worked at RSA, overseeing sales initiatives in the region. Prior to RSA, Frauen held similar positions at StreamServe, Ariba and Clarify, which was first owned by Nortel and then sold to Amdocs.

'The appointment of Michael brings significant experience and expertise to our growing Central and Eastern European region and allows us to further expand our European management team,' commented Graham Welch, EMEA Managing Director at Sourcefire.

"Sourcefire is one of the most respected names in the Cybersecurity space, and I look forward to invigorating the sales force and channel partners with new programs and initiatives," said Michael Frauen, Regional Director of Central and Eastern Europe at Sourcefire. "In 2010, organizations across Europe will continue to focus on security solutions that protect their assets while empowering them to conduct business. I am actively working with our partners and salespeople to engage and support these enterprises, providing them with the solutions they need to protect their businesses."
