Redesign for vehicle search mirror

Allen Vanguard : 01 October, 2007  (New Product)
Telescopic search kit enables access to difficult areas during vehicle searches.
Allen-Vanguard, world leader in internal security, has redesigned its popular CEM series of search mirrors to further enhance accessibility for search professionals.
The telescopic CEM series, which includes an under vehicle rechargeable trolley mirror, is a convenient and valuable search kit for otherwise inaccessible areas in vehicles and buildings as well as on ships. This device is currently used by the Police, Customs, prisons and border control as well as military and counter terrorist forces.

The CEM units now include a long telescopic arm that has an optional light pod with ultra-bright LEDs. The five-section arm is lightweight with a unique injection-moulded, locking mechanism which fixes the arm in position during use.

Manufactured from extruded aluminium with a grey finish, the CEM mirrors have non-slip rubberised handles which provide improved grip and comfort for users. For ease of transport and storage, the arm retracts fully into the handle section.
Allen-Vanguard's interchangeable parts enhance the versatility of the CEM series. A friction joint on the head allows easy angle view adjustment and enables the head assembly to fold back, locking the unit shut when closed.

"The CEM series has been redesigned and updated to improve its search capability," Glyn Buckler, sales director at Allen-Vanguard, explains. "Counter terrorism is on the agenda for all security teams, which means basic search equipment is an essential requirement."
