Radiation detection and monitoring on display in Oakland.

Berkeley Nucleonics : 25 January, 2008  (Company News)
Berkeley Nucleonics to attend Oakland conference on Health Physics, displaying Geiger counters, pagers and moving vehicle identifiers.
Berkeley Nucleonics is demonstrating a suite of Radiation Detection products at the Health Physics Society's 2008 meeting in Oakland, California. The products are designed to meet ANSI requirements and export data in ANSI N42 formats, ensuring visibility of all radiological events by various levels of management. Berkeley's spectroscopists have a comprehensive program with accredited training and reachback support which can be developed to meet most applications.

The conference will be held on Jan 27-30, 2008 at the Oakland Marriot Convention Centre.

Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation (BNC) offers a wide range of radiation detection instruments from low cost pagers and survey meters (first responder / worker safety), to advanced Radiation Detection programs (spectroscopic portal monitoring systems, medium resolution isotope identifiers and high resolution germanium systems).

Berkeley's product portfolio includes:.

nukeALERT 951 - Deployed widely in California, the Model 951 is the easiest radiation pager to use and offers a sensitive CsI detector.

palmRAD 907 - Using a robust Geiger Mueller detector, this survey meter offers Alpha, Beta, G! amma and X-Ray detection under $800.

1703GNB - The most advanced gamma/neutron radiation pager, this design offers users spectroscopic data collection and bluetooth/stand-off functionality.

SAM 940 Revealer - A lanthanum bromide isotope identifier (RID), the Revealer making use of many years of algorithm development and DOE cooperation.

ARAM - A proven spectroscopic portal monitoring system deployed throughout California. The system provides alarm and identification of moving vehicles in real time.

Training - The Berkeley Nucleonics training programs are accredited by several organisations and can be customised as required.
