Quaresso Hardened Web-Browser Comes To UK Customers

Nebulas Solutions : 05 May, 2010  (New Product)
Nebulas is offering armoured web browsing capabilities from Quaresso as part of its technology incubator program
Nebulas Solutions Group, the security, acceleration and Virtualisation specialist, has announced that Quaresso will join its Technology Incubator Programme, giving UK customers access to the first on-demand armoured web browser on the market.

Quaresso's "Protect on Q" is a secure, hardened web browser which protects the user against various types of malware, including key logging and screen stealing. Developed by US start-up, Quaresso, the solution looks and feels exactly like an ordinary browser, but acts as a highly secure interface between the user and the website they visit. The first "on the fly" secure browser, it allows websites to instantly deliver the browser, eliminating the need to download any application before it can be used. Completely vendor neutral, it can be used on any machine, regardless of any amount of malware already installed on it. It also leaves no footprint once the browser is closed, eliminating user software support costs.

It can also be used to implement corporate web browsing policies: restricting access to specific or unauthorised sites or preventing/allowing specific functions to be used. Sites can be black or white listed using the solution, with users informed via pop-ups messages. Additionally, the browser's look, feel, design and content can be customised to reflect the users' brand and corporate imagery.

Nick Garlick, managing director at Nebulas Solutions is confident that Quaresso's technology will help many organisations take back the initiative for protecting themselves against fraud and cyber attacks. He commented: "We've already had significant interest in Quaresso's solution, particularly from organisations who are looking to provide their customers with the highest levels of service and peace of mind. It's a very sophisticated solution and currently it's the only solution capable of providing this level of protection for web browsing. We're looking forward to working with Quaresso to develop its full potential in the UK market".

Quaresso's CEO Mark Elliott is also confident that being part of the Incubator will benefit his organisation: "As a newcomer to the UK market, taking part in this Programme will introduce us to many organisations who face the very issues that Protect on Q addresses. Online crime is a business issue and with Nebulas Solutions' focus on resolving customers' business issues, our two organisations have much common ground. I'm confident that our relationship will provide highly profitable for us both".

Quaresso is the latest addition to the Technology Incubator, which is Nebulas Solutions' high return programme to introduce innovative technology to new markets and customers in the UK. Before entering the Incubator, potential partners undergo a feasibility and selection process. During the six month programme, Quaresso will have access to many "early adopter" customers to evaluate the technology for their operations. After the initial period, successful solutions are integrated into Nebulas Solution's business portfolio where they have access to the Group's wider customer base and range of services.

UK customers interested in finding out more about Protect on Q for themselves can visit Nebulas Solutions' labs, where the solution is established on several servers and a fully operational demonstration is available.
