Quantum Sniffer portable explosive detectors for Chinese government

Implant Sciences : 07 January, 2010  (Application Story)
China has ordered further explosive detection devices from Implant Sciences for use in law enforcement and aviation protection applications throughout the country
Implant Sciences has received multiple orders totaling approximately $400,000 for its Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 Portable Explosives Detectors. The devices will be delivered to governmental customers of Implant Sciences' distributors in China. The QS-H150's are expected to be deployed for use in Law Enforcement and Aviation Security applications in multiple locations throughout China.

Glenn Bolduc, Implant Sciences' President and CEO, commented, "This is a strategic win for the Company as it represents success of our new Law Enforcement initiatives as well as follow-on business from an important Aviation Security customer." He added, "This is a competitive win as well, because the Company's products are more and more often being selected over other products due to technical and operational advantages."

The QS-H150 provides high performance and reliability combined with ease-of-use and very low costs of ownership. Annual maintenance costs are minimal and consist primarily of normal care and cleaning using common supplies. Calibration is autonomous, continuous, and requires no consumables. Since there are no radioactive materials used in the QS-H150, there are no associated certifications, licences, inspections, or end-of-life disposal issues. As such, customers have an outstanding, cost effective product available to them in support of efforts to improve their overall security profile and meet mission critical objectives.
