Thales UK has been awarded a five-year contract to provide secure network connectivity services to The Insolvency Service, part of the UK’s Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS). This is the first IL3 contract awarded under the Government’s Public Services Network (PSN) Connectivity framework, which will provide network security at Business Impact Level 3.
Thales will deliver secure Wide Area Network (WAN) services across The Insolvency Service sites, including head office, regional offices and associated data centres. In addition Thales will be responsible for the migration of the existing network onto the new secure communications network and associated support services.
The contract award demonstrates Thales’s expertise in providing secure network and communication services, and positions Thales as a key supplier to UK central government and its vision of offering secure network services through the PSN initiative. With a track record of delivering secure networks across the defence, enterprise and transport industry sectors for more than 30 years, this success illustrates Thales’s capabilities in providing holistic physical, network and cyber-security solutions.
