Product range expansion leads to record 3Q earnings for Lumension.

Lumension Security : 28 November, 2007  (Company News)
Acquisitions and re-branding pay off for Lumension who have reported record earnings for the 3rd quarter with strong sales and expanded product portfolio.
Lumension Security has announced that the Company attained an unprecedented 106 percent revenue growth in the third quarter of 2007 as compared to its third quarter result in 2006. This strong revenue growth is driven by significant customer wins, new product releases and increased sales of its new product portfolio to new and existing customers as Lumension continues to deliver market-leading, best-of-breed products and services. As a result of these efforts, Lumension increased its customer base to more than 5,100 customers worldwide in the past 12 months.

"We've set aggressive corporate and product strategies to bring to market the industry's only fully integrated, proactive, unified protection and control suite of products that can be centrally managed and administered from a single Web interface. Our impressive growth in the past year demonstrates the execution of this vision as more and more companies look to bolster their IT security posture," said Pat Clawson, chairman and CEO of Lumension Security. "Many security vendors have difficulty assembling and integrating point solutions into their existing product offerings, leaving gaping holes in their customers' security infrastructures and creating an administrative nightmare. Our approach is simple yet extremely effective. We unify best-of-breed technologies that enable our customers and partners to achieve unprecedented levels of security while improving efficiency and lowering total cost of ownership (TCO)."

Some of the organisations that joined Lumension's growing client portfolio during the third quarter of 2007 include the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, ING Financial, Google, EMC Corporation, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and many others from the government, financial and healthcare market segments. During the most recent quarter, Lumension also executed strategic relationship agreements with several of the world's leading technology players to integrate its award-winning security solution with those vendors' current products. Lumension also continued to expand its global capabilities by opening new offices in Madrid, Spain and Mumbai, India to meet expanding global demand.

As part of the Lumension's ongoing commitment to delivering broader breadth of security capabilities for proactive, unified protection and control, the Company also launched several new products to simplify the security management lifecycle, including: PatchLink Update 6.4, PatchLink Scan 6.4, PatchLink Enterprise Reporting 6.4 and PatchLink Developers Kit 6.4.

Lumension also strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Donnie Moore, former CTO of Cognos Incorporated, and Michael Jacobs, former government veteran and security industry expert, to its Board of Directors. Moore and Jacobs will provide strategic guidance and expertise to the Company as it expands its on-demand solutions, drives industry-leading growth and broadens its global footprint.

Lumension also received several industry awards in 2007. The Company's Sanctuary endpoint security suite earned a 2007 Security Product of the Year Award at the 2007 CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards, and for the second consecutive year, its PatchLink Update solution was the 2007 Computerworld Malaysia Readers' Choice Award Winner for the best patch management product. Additionally, the leading analyst firm IDC ranked Lumension Security as the number-one worldwide patching and remediation vendor for third consecutive year.
