Privacy lockout feature for classroom safety

Alarm Lock Systems : 26 August, 2009  (New Product)
The Trilogy privacy lock from Alarm Lock includes lock-out feature for preventing unauthorised access at the simple press of a button
Privacy lockout feature for classroom safety
School officials are using Alarm Lock's new Trilogy DL/PDL4100 and mortise DL/PDL4500 Privacy locks to secure their students and faculty. High security access control solutions like our Trilogy Privacy locks prevent unwanted visitors into school buildings and classrooms. Simply pressing down on the inside "privacy" button locks out unauthorized access, instantly locking-down a classroom or area, all while remaining safety within the room. Faculty and students of all ages can easily be taught to push the privacy button at the first sign of trouble. If that wasn't enough, a self-stick instructional bilingual sign comes with our Privacy locks to help guide customers through the privacy feature.

Our Trilogy Privacy locks now come with an interior LED on the inside housing. This feature reassures users that their privacy session is active and that they are safely out of harms way. A flashing multi-status LED on the outside of the lock alerts users when the lockdown session is in use. Only after the user presses the privacy button, will the door automatically disable free passage and temporarily suspend and lock out keypad codes. Opening the door from the inside or when the privacy session "times-out" following a preset period, allows keypad PIN or PIN/prox access to start again. Should a student accidentally or purposefully activate lockdown mode, a lock-down override code will reactivate the pushbutton keypad and enable authorized staff outside the classroom to readily bypass the lockout function at any time.

Alarm Lock's Privacy locks run on 5AA batteries and typically yield 60,000 cycles. They come in cylindrical and mortise locking styles and are available in PIN or PIN/prox versions. To answer the question of durability, our Privacy locks can withstand temperatures from -31˚F to 151˚F. With features like 2000 PIN or PIN/prox user codes, 500 scheduled events and 40,000 audit trail, its no wonder why so many school districts are switching over to our Privacy locks. When placing your orders, keep in mind that DL/PDL4500 comes right or left-handed and are available in deadbolt version only while DL/PDL4100 comes in standard key override or interchangeable core configurations.
